This will be my 3rd year working as the 1st grade teacher and I absolutely love it!
Teaching has always been my passion. I spent a year interning in a 2nd grade classroom in Boise Idaho and knew that teaching primary ages was my calling.
I have a Bachelors Degree from Boise State University with an emphasis in mediation and conflict management. I have earned a certification via the American Board for Certification of Teacher Excellence. About 3 years ago I really felt the Lord pushing me to pursue teaching again. At that time I worked from home, loved my job, and loved spending time with my kids. One day I had a conversation with a good friend about how I wasn’t sure what exactly the next step would be but decided to give it to God. A day later, another friend called me asking if I knew anybody interested in teaching 1st grade. I wasn’t expecting the answer to prayer to come so soon, but without hesitation, I applied for and then accepted the position at 1st grade teacher at VCA. My heart has badly wanted all my children under one roof with me and I’m so excited to say that this year both of my older children will attend VCA. Jackson is in 2nd grade and Emery is in Kindergarten.
I grew up in Boise Idaho and attended church weekly with my family, but it wasn’t until I was college aged that I began to crave a relationship with the Lord. I met my husband and we realized we needed our family to be built upon the foundation of the Lord. As we walk through life, I continue to be amazed at the grace of God and his power to provide when we most need it! My husband, Erik, serves in the military. I have 3 children; Jackson- 7, Emery-5, and Rhett- 4 months. Our black lab, Mia, and bearded dragon, Raider, are also important members of our family :)
